PoemsI started writing poetry when I was about seven years old, writing about nuclear disarmament and vivisection when I was eight . During my University days I stopped, not really starting again until four or five years ago.
I like to write in a conversational style, playing with syllables and using really short lines sometimes. By no means a poetic genius, it's just something I enjoy doing - and have used to woo the man in my life! Some days I'll 'write' poems in my head, but if a pen and a bit of paper isn't to hand they're gone and lost forever. Somewhere in my house is a book containing poems from my teens and childhood. When I find it I'll put some of them up for you to take a look at. In the meantime, check out the small selection that is here now, and pop back from time to time as more will follow as the muse takes me. |
